Safelite Expands Product Availability in Nashville

Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company, will relocate its Nashville Super Center in early-December with a target opening date of December 3, 2010.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company, will relocate its Nashville Super Center in early-December with a target opening date of December 3, 2010.

The facility, located at 815 Cowan St., Building C-2, in Nashville, stores the vehicle glass and parts needed for Safelite's technicians to provide repair and replacement services to the Nashville area. With a growing business, the move from the old location of 10,000 square feet increases square footage from to 26,000, allowing Safelite® to nearly quadruple stock assortment.

Safelite® currently employs 28 people in the area with plans to add six to 10 additional associates in 2011.

The new warehouse is part of the company’s overall growth strategy. Beginning in 2009, Safelite® invested $38 million to support growth and has made similar investments in 2010. In addition to opening the new warehouse, the company has also:

  • Opened six new warehouses, expanded five and relocated more than a dozen other existing warehouses for added inventory
  • Remodeled 40 stores
  • Opened its second-largest distribution center in Ontario, California and its largest distribution center in Braselton, Ga.
  • Expanded inventory to allow for cross-border deliveries with Canada
  • Opened its third national contact center, creating 500 immediate jobs with the potential for up to 1,000 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Safelite® customers in Nashville 1-800-ASAP (2727). Both in-shop and mobile vehicle glass service appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
