Auto glass is covered under the comprehensive portion of your auto policy.

Most insurance companies will waive your deductible if your windshield can be repaired instead of replaced.

If you have a comprehensive deductible, you will be responsible for paying the amount of your deductible and your insurance company will be billed for the remaining amount of the service.
