Safelite Among Nominees for Best Places to Work
COLUMBUS, Ohio - November 9, 2009 - For the second year in a row, Columbus Business First has announced that Safelite AutoGlass® has been chosen as one of the top nominees in its Best Places to Work program.
Safelite is one of five finalists in the large company category-joining Abbott Nutrition, CareWorks Family of Companies, Licking Memorial Health Systems and Ohio State University Medical Center-in the large business category. One hundred and forty companies were nominated for the recognition and only 35 were selected as finalists.
"We feel honored that so many of our associates took part in this survey and provided feedback that has us in the running for this recognition," said Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Safelite AutoGlass®. "We are pleased that, in turn, we can foster a positive environment for them where they feel comfortable sharing their opinions. Feedback is truly a gift and something that we welcome."
Business First's Best Places to Work program uses workplace satisfaction surveys to identify the top companies in central Ohio. To be eligible, companies must have local, full-time employees complete the survey. All companies meeting minimum completed survey requirements are then assessed by Quantum Market Research (Q-MR). The top companies in each category become nominees for the awards program.
Winners will be announced on Thursday, November 12; profiles of the winners will run in the November 13 issue of Business First.
