Belron US Promotes Three Key Leaders to Senior VP
COLUMBUS, Ohio - August 18, 2008 - Three key leaders representing supply chain, client sales and support and marketing/brand development have been promoted to the position of senior vice president by Belron US the nation's leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company.
Dino Lanno, Pete Pearson and Mark Placenti have earned positions on the eight-member Belron US senior leadership team, which helps guide the overall direction of the company and will respectively each lead the company's supply chain, client sales and support and marketing/brand development areas.
"As our company embarks on its next phase of growth, we identified key areas that needed to be elevated because of their importance in how they will contribute to the success of the organization," said Tom Feeney, president and CEO of Belron US. "Dino, Pete and Mark each bring a business sense, industry knowledge and strong leadership skill set that has earned them a spot on our senior leadership team."
Lanno and Pearson both joined the company in 1989. Placenti was hired in 2005.
Lanno, a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a masters degree from Ohio University, is currently a member of several industry leading vehicle glass organizations and is active in developing vehicle glass standards for the industry. He continues to be the key face of Safelite to its strategic suppliers, building relationships for more than 19 years.
Pearson, a graduate of the University of Utah, joined Safelite as a result of the company's acquisition of AFG Glass where he served as a regional manager. His combined 24 years in the vehicle glass industry - 15 as part of the Safelite Solutions strategic, fleet and commercial account sales teams and 5 with an independent glass company - brings a dynamic perspective that is well utilized.
Placenti, a graduate of the Ohio State University, spent time before joining Safelite in both corporate and advertising agency environments. As a key member of the Circle K management team which led the company out of bankruptcy, he developed a marketing/advertising program that netted an incremental $15 million gross profit dollars over a three year period.
His advertising agency client experience includes Domino's Pizza, Scotts Professional Products, International Paper, Checker, Schuck's & Kragen Auto Parts, Worthington Industries and many others.
