Safelite Contribution Grants Local Child's Wish

COLUMBUS, Ohio - October 3, 2008 - Safelite AutoGlass, the nation's leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company today presented the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana with a $6,000 contribution to help a child's wish come true.

"Having the ability to grant a child's wish is an opportunity we truly appreciate," said Tom Feeney, president and chief executive officer of Belron US, the parent company of Safelite. "Doing our part to improve the life of a child in need is something we wholeheartedly embrace and wouldn't think twice about."

The grant, which comes during the 25th anniversary year for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana chapter, will fund a child's wish to take a Disney Vacation - the most requested and granted travel wish.

"We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy," remarked Susan McConnell, president and CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. "I'm deeply grateful to Safelite for its generous contribution to Make-A-Wish and its commitment to the families we serve."

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is just one of the many charitable contributions Safelite makes yearly. Other organizations that have benefited from the vehicle glass repair and replacement company's contributions include Nationwide Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio and FindMissingKids.com.

Make-A-Wish Foundation of America has granted more than 153,000 wishes to children around the world since 1980.
