Safelite Nominated One of the Best Places To Work
COLUMBUS, Ohio - November 6, 2008 - Safelite AutoGlass, the nation's largest vehicle glass repair and replacement company, has been recognized as one of the best places to work in central Ohio through a program conducted by Business First, a business publication of more than 10,000 readers based in Columbus. Safelite and four other large companies were selected primarily from the results of a confidential survey completed by employees. Respondents from the company's corporate, contact center, retail and warehouse operations based in Columbus were asked to rate their work environment on the following criteria: - Team effectiveness
- Trust in co-workers and senior leaders
- Individual contribution
- Manager effectiveness
- Feeling valued
- Work engagement
- People practices

Safelite, included in the category for large companies comprised of 500 or more employees, will be honored at a luncheon Nov. 13, where the Best Places to Work winner will be named. Safelite was selected among the 140 businesses that submitted applications for this honor. Business First, a publication owned by American City Business Journals, will honor ten other businesses from the micro-, small-, medium- and large-sized company categories during the luncheon.
