Rated 1 out of 5 by from Still waiting.... I had two experiences in the same day. First experience: Gentleman from Safelite scheduled to arrive between 8am and noon. He calls at 7:55am, is on his way. Two thumbs up! Arrives as promised. Repairs chip in windshield, asks if I would like to see his work. I was VERY impressed. Chip is fixed as planned, ALSO he has vacuumed the front seat floor. He gave me a can of window cleaner. He was super courteous and went above and beyond. Left me feeling very happy and confident with Safelite. Second experience: Same day. Gentleman scheduled to arrive between 8am and noon. Calls around 9am, says he is running a little behind schedule and he will be here right before noon. Actually arrives at about 12:15pm. That was fine with me. After finishing up, the gentleman brings me a bottle of window cleaner and tells me he is all done. Says the door handle is kinda broken but it snaps back on and it was broken before he started so he was good to go. I thanked him, paid him and did not check his work (he did not ask if I wanted to unlike the first gentleman and I had total confidence in his work as the first gentleman had done such an amazing job). Three o'clock comes around and I go to use the car to pick my daughter up from school. I'm a little surprised when I get to the car to see glass on the ground. (He was replacing the whole side window that someone had broken out) It was not his job to clean up the glass he dropped on the driveway from the inside of the door panel necessarily but after the first Safelite guy had cleaned up a mess that wasn't his at all I kinda assumed there wouldn't be any mess afterwards. Not a big deal though. Just interesting. Then I got into the car. The door handle is on the floor. Weird. I remember him saying it snaps back on. So I try to snap it back on. Wait a minute. It slides into place but falls right back off. It's never done that before. I was wondering what he had been talking about when he said it was broken before he started but assumed he just meant that it was normal for these handles or something. It was not ever like that before. I don't know why he said it was like that when he started. It wasn't. Also the door panel is not secured completely. It looks like it has a couple of clips unattached or broken? I'm not an expert. So I roll my new window down to get some air (with a handle that you have to hold in place now) and notice there is a spot as its going down that it kinda catches. I'm guessing there is a piece of broken glass in the track but I am not an expert. So now I am unhappy and call my local Safelite to tell them about the problem and request them to fix it. The lady that I talked to was amazing. She was courteous, friendly, and apologized for a problem that she didn't even create. I was very impressed. It helped calm me down and relax knowing that she was on top of making sure it was all taken care of. She said the shop manager would call me and get me taken care of. Two thumbs up! Then a little later the manager called me and said the tech told him the handle was broken before he started. I told him that was not true. My handle had been just fine. He sounded like he didn't necessarily believe me but he didn't argue too much about it. Which was good because I was getting pretty angry at that point. I wouldn't have used Safelite if I'd known they were going to break something and then say it was broken when they started. I just wanted my window replaced. So he says they have the parts on order and they will call me when they arrive to fix it. Should be in by Tuesday. I thank him. Tuesday goes by. No news, no calls. I wait a couple of days in case they are still planning on calling but since they don't I call them on Thursday and check in. They say it isn't there yet. They will call me when it is in to set up a time. That's the last I have heard from them. That was about two months ago. At this point, I would be pretty happy to just get the parts from them. I will have another shop fix it. I wish I could say that my first experience evened out the two experiences but after dealing with the shop itself I have to say I am beyond unimpressed. I guess I should have gone with a local shop. Lesson very much learned. I WOULD appreciate an email back from you, I would appreciate if you can ship me the parts.

From the phone rep who set up my appointment to the staff at Safelite, every one I met was very friendly, very professional, and very courteous. The work was performed as quickly as is possible with an FJ but still done meticulously and with great professionalism. The staff was more than happy to tell me about the process, it's challenges, and keep me updated on the progress. This is an extremely good company and shop to do business with!

They came right to my work and did the job without hassle, I will definitely use this service again. The technician was very professional and prompt I wasn't worried at all giving him access to my vehicle. Great Service!
