Safelite® offers each of its employees a paid day off work to volunteer a full 8-hour day at a charity of their choice. In addition, Safelite® offers Community Days – a coordinated effort by a team, store or market to spend an additional 8 hours to volunteer together for a local charity.
This equals approximately 160,000 hours of community service.
"It was disheartening seeing the increase of younger homeless on the streets and the call for more children and even infant clothing this year. We’re proud that we could help those that need it the most in our community in this way," said Kirstin Dugger, Phoenix Operations Charitable Committee Chairman who organized the market’s fourth annual “Help for the Homeless” charity drive around the holidays.
"What a great example of the impact that this campaign is having on our associates and in our communities!” said Stan Knudson, Safelite® Area Sales Manager in Chicago whose team spent a day at Loaves & Fishes food bank.
