Safelite AutoGlass® Donates $800 to the Santa Maria Local Fire Department During 2nd Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ and Fundraiser
SANTA MARIA, Calif. – April 2, 2013 – On March 28, 2013, Safelite AutoGlass’s Santa Maria store held its second annual customer appreciation BBQ and fundraiser to help raise money for the Santa Maria Fire Department Local 2020. Safelite AutoGlass® donated $500 to SMFD and also raised an additional $300 from its nearly 200 guests thanks to raffling an iPad Mini.
Two local firefighters attended on behalf of SMFD and brought a 35-foot Urban Search and Rescue Vehicle. Safelite AutoGlass® staff were also on hand to share insight on when windshield repair or replacement is needed and how the process works.
“Giving back to our community is of great importance to us,” said Aron Houston, area sales manager. “We were pleased to see such a great turnout to the BBQ, allowing us to give $800 to the local fire department who do so much for our city.”
