60 Seconds with Safelite Tech Jasmine
In our monthly 60-second technician spotlight, we're featuring a lead technician who has advanced through different positions in her time at Safelite, and became the first female in her market to compete in our bi-annual tech competition.

What do you do for Safelite (include location)? I install windshields and other various glass parts for the Hampton, VA shop. Alongside those duties I manage the inventory and assist in training and mentoring new tech trainees.
How did you get started as a technician? I first came to Safelite as a repair medic/CSR. After a few months I was given the opportunity to advance my career as a replacement technician.
What’s the best thing about being a technician? The best thing about being a tech is that I always have the opportunity to learn more about different makes and models of vehicle as I come across them daily. There is never a dull moment when you work in the auto glass industry, which makes my days full of interesting and fun-filled adventures.
What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had at Safelite? My most memorable experience was competing in my market’s “Safelite Best of Belron” competition. I was the first female to compete in my market, which gave me the upmost sense of pride. I can’t wait until the next completion as I learned some valuable lessons on how to better my replacement techniques.
Do you have a favorite customer experience? My favorite customer experience was when I worked out on the road. I replaced a customer’s windshield in his car only to find out he was the owner of a local Pizza Hut who gave me a year’s worth of free pizza coupons!!
Outside of work, what are you passionate about? Spending time with my family is my most important aspect outside of work. I enjoy hanging out with my God children; they are identical twin boys so you can imagine they keep me running constantly!
Just for fun: What’s your dream car? I would love to have a black 2017 Chevrolet Impala SS fully loaded!!!
