Charity Spotlight: Mike’s Contribution to Utah Food Bank

A group of Safelite employees from Salt Lake City, Utah, recently partnered with local insurance agents to offer customers free wiper blades in exchange for at least five cans/items of food to be donated to the Utah Food Bank. In addition, nine area locations had food bins in the lobby – with many overflowing two to three times during the two-month collection period.

The team collected more than two tons of food and donated more than $1,000 dollars. For every dollar the Utah Food Bank receives, they are able to buy $7 worth of food. So donation provides more than 7,000 meals!

Area Sales Manager Mike M. who led the team shared his thoughts. “I loved the whole experience. We were able to bring our customers and team together for a common cause. I appreciate that Safelite gives us the opportunity to build these kind of relationships and work on a project like this.”
