Charitable giving is taken to heart at Safelite AutoGlass, which holds an annual Charity Golf Classic to raise money for non-profits. Through this event, Safelite AutoGlass is able to donate $20,000 to 10 separate charities, spread across each of its 10 regions. That’s in addition to $175,000 distributed to each of the 10 regions annually for local leaders to support area charitable organizations of their choice.

Our Mid-South region chose the Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi to receive its $20,000 donation.

EFM is the only statewide, non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention and cure of seizure disorders, the alleviation of their effects and the promotion of independence and optimal quality of life for people with epilepsy. The foundation seeks to accomplish this mission through education, research, advocacy and direct client services.

After presenting the check to EFM Executive Director Tres Townsend, she said, “The support of Safelite AutoGlass is more than just money. For anyone living with epilepsy, knowing that a company such as this supports the Epilepsy Foundation of Mississippi gives them hope and encouragement. It helps us carry out our mission but it is so much more to the individuals we help.”

Alisa C., the operations manager in the Safelite AutoGlass Jackson market also serves as board member for the Foundation. She shared, “It feels great to give back and be on the frontline to see the impact it makes. This grant will help the organization continue to provide those living with seizure disorders programs and services free of charge. I’m glad I can be a part of increasing our outreach.”

“We are so honored to have received the grant from Safelite AutoGlass,” Townsend concluded. “We are excited about our new relationship.”
