Safelite AutoGlass named Deals of the Year award winner by Albuquerque Business First
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Safelite AutoGlass®, the largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services in the U.S., was named a Deals of the Year award winner in the Economic Development category by Albuquerque Business First.
Awards were presented at the 2nd annual Deals of the Year black-tie gala, held Friday, Dec. 8, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Albuquerque.
Safelite AutoGlass was selected the winner in the Economic Growth category in recognition of a robust undertaking to open its largest contact center to date in Rio Rancho, NM. The facility can seat up to 1,000 customer service representatives at full capacity. With a four-year commitment to 900 new jobs, this is the single largest job creation in New Mexico since 2009.

Overall, there were 45 nominees heading into the award ceremony. Winners were chosen by the Albuquerque Business First newsroom based on the following criteria: the size of the deal and positive impact in New Mexico, and the deal closed or been largely finished between August 2016 and August 2017.
Three to five finalists—and ultimately one winner—were chosen from each of the 10 categories: Health Care, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Economic Development, Funding, Retail, Technology, Energy, and Construction.
