Safelite AutoGlass® Opens Shop in Santa Maria, CA
SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Nov. 4, 2011 – Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, opened a new shop in Santa Maria on October 17, 2011, to better serve area customers with same-day and in-shop service. Located at 2220 A Street #101, Santa Maria, CA, 93455, the 7,000-square-foot facility holds 2,300 glass parts, making it the largest inventory assortment in the Central Coast.
Safelite’s Santa Maria shop will conveniently serve the following Central Coast communities: Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Avila Beach, Buelton, Cambria, Cayucos, Grover Beach, Guadalupe, Harmony, Lompoc, Los Alamos, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Nipomo, Oceano, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, San Miguel, San Simeon, Santa Margarita, Santa Maria, Santa Ynez, Shell Beach, Solvang, Templeton and Vandenberg.
Safelite AutoGlass® has traditionally provided this community mobile service, sending technicians to the customer’s home or office and will continue to do so. However, the new store will increase accessibility to parts, thereby enabling faster in-shop and mobile service.
Dana Szczepanski serves as the store manager, overseeing six employees: four technicians, one technician trainee, and one repair specialist. Szczepanski expects to hire two more technicians soon.
“We look forward to continuing to serve the Central Coast community in a friendly and timely manner,” said Szczepanski. “Keeping people safe while they are in their vehicles is critical. Vehicle glass is an important element of a car’s structural integrity, and we are happy to perform inspections to identify any risky chips or provide a quote on glass damage.”
The addition of this Central Coast store is a part of Safelite’s plan to expand and improve service throughout southern California. Since 2009, Safelite® has developed a number of initiatives to provide unrivaled customer service, technical quality, and same-day service for southern California customers. Safelite’s growth in the Southwest U.S. includes:
•opening its second-largest distribution center in Ontario, Calif., in 2009
