Safelite AutoGlass Partners with MLB.com

02-15-2017

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Last February, a fan’s windshield was hit by a Spring Training home run. After sharing photos and social buzz on Twitter, Safelite AutoGlass® stepped up to replace the fan’s windshield at no charge. Taking it one step further this year for fans, Safelite AutoGlass, the largest windshield replacement company in the country, has agreed to a marketing partnership with MLB.com during Spring Training 2017 that includes social media and shared original content.

The official Twitter page for MLB (@MLB) will let fans know that if their windshield falls victim during Spring Training games or batting practice, mentioning the @Safelite Twitter handle will get a Safelite AutoGlass technician on site ASAP to fix it. The deal will also include co-branded trivia questions for fans on Twitter.

“Partnering with the MLB.com is a very natural fit for our business,” said Bruce Millard, Vice President of Digital & Customer Innovation. “We saw a lot of great online conversations during last season that we believe can extend our brand awareness and build preference.”

As a customer-driven company, Safelite AutoGlass is the only national auto glass repair and replacement company with the size and scope to reach customers nationwide, making it the perfect partner for MLB.com with fans all across the U.S.
