We called about 2 hours before closing for an update and they didn’t have any news for us other than a sarcastic reminder that they have until the end of the day and that they would call us when it was ready.
They called us at closing to let us know that our car was difficult to install a windshield on so they would have to keep it until Monday, but would call us around noon as it should be ready by then.
They called around closing on Monday.
When we picked it up on Tuesday we were shocked by the terrible job they performed.
It took them 2 days and the seal is messy and bubbling out in places (god knows if it’s water tight), insulation was in our floorboard along with several rubber pieces and plastic pieces that you are supposed to insert into the windshield casing to hide screws and holes.
Needless to say, some of these pieces are missing.
Safelite came out promptly, and the repairman seemed professional. He said he would email me a copy of the repair bill before he left, but I still have not seen it. However, the star was still in the window when I went out to check on it after the repairman left. I do not know what the deal is.
