The rock from the excavator equipment trailer passing by on the highway sounded like a bullet when it hit the windshield right in front of my wife in the passenger seat. Our insurance agent set us up with Safelite and from there everything was smooth sailing. Jamison, the repair technician who came to our rural home was excellent with communication, customer service and professional work. Jamison determined from photos that I texted him that our windshield needed to be replaced rather than repaired. Our 2026 Mazda CX 70 is back to new condition and it was so smooth, easy , quick and professionally done with Jamison and Safelite.
My windshield had little chips of damage from when a truck ahead of me . . . stopped suddenly and part of his load ended-up on the hood and windshield of my vehicle.

Once I contacted Safelite, they took care of everything. All I had to do was to be home - at the scheduled time, and make sure that the attendant, had the car keys when he needed to do a check of the recalibration. The weather made it impossible to complete the recalibration - from my home. I was able to bring my car to Safelite, a couple days later - and it just took a few minutes to complete the process. I was soon back on the road!

Went smoothly except that the windshield for my vehicle had scratches. Technician said he had 2 others that would match except for the upper tint. Since I had to make a decision right then since the cracked one was already removed I really had no choice but to choose the alternate. It fits but now my VIN number is not visible. I found out later that the VIN number must be visible or the vehicle may be considered stolen. The techician had told me it was no problem and I definitely needed a windshield. Due to issues happening within my life, I really had no choice. I suggest that you require a personal inspection of the new windshield BEFORE they start work of any kind.
