Auto Glass Replacement Shop in Abilene, TX

I filed a claim for window replacement and was refered to Safelite. I had them order the glass and gave them 3 weeks to get it. The set the appointment, then proceeded to no call no show. After waiting all day for nothing I called Safelite. The shop has never responded ever. The glass was not in. So the agent for Safelite appologized and said they would have the district manager call me. Never got a call. Suddenly I have a new appointment that I was never told about. I confirmed it and rearraged my shcedule for it. The no call no showed again. I called Safelite again. Yet again appologies all around. Now it's coming up on 1 month waiting for this glass. Once again they agent cant get an answer from the shop. So I told them do not schedule an appointment without calling me and I still want to talk to the district manager. Nothing. Then low and behold I have an appointment scheduled for the 3rd that i knew nothing about. Sound familiar? I called safelit. The agent could not get through to the shop. Big suprise. The were able to see the glass was not in yet. So I hung up and called a local shop, that actually has a shop. They will have my glass in 3 days. Moral of the story, never use Safelite.

Tech called ahead and was friendly and professional.

Broke vehicle rear view mirror during windshield replacement. Poor follow up to replace mirror with ultimately no resolution to replace the damage. Poor follow up from managerial staff at shop and at 1-800 customer service line. Better off taking vehicle to dealership for replacement.
