Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Job Let me first start by saying I have used safelight before and I have never had a more troubling and annoying experience. I initially had an appt for 2/3 12-5. I received a phone call early on the 3rd asking if I could bring the car into the shop because it was too cold for the urethane wouldn’t get a good seal if it was below freezing. I informed the worker that I couldn’t bring the car in, but would be willing to reschedule if needed. Sometime in the afternoon the safelight tech came to my house. He had told me that it had warmed up enough to work (it was 29 degrees) I asked if he was sure and he said yes. Half way through the job the safelight worker showed me that I had some rust in the top frame and because of that rust I was no longer qualified for the lifetime warranty. A short time later they finished up and left. A few days later (2/7) it started to rain, the windshield instantly started leaking through the front driver side pillar. I instantly called safelight and was informed that their was nothing that could do about it until the next day, so I booked an appointment and had to use towels to keep my seats from being destroyed by all the water dripping into the car. Unfortunately I had to cancel the appointment because I got called into work to testify and when I spoke with the tech he informed me that he couldn’t work on the car unless I was present. When I called back up to reschedule the next available appointment wasn’t until Monday the 12th (almost 7 full days since my car started leaking water) so I had to continue to put towels and tarps to help keep the water from my car. However my carpet still got soaked and my roof still got all wet from where the water was leaking through. Plus the unknown damage that came from any water that didn’t drip out and ran down behind the dashboard. However as troubling as all this was on the 12th when my car was serviced by a tech named Wilson. This tech was absolutely great, he was extremely empathetic and thoughtful. While he was at my house it started to rain, he offered to take my car back to his shop and service it there, because I was unable to because I had my two young children with at home with me. So he left with the car, repaired the damaged frame, changed out the windshield and brought the car back to me ensuring that the job had been done correctly and told me I still had the lifetime warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a disaster! This whole process has been a mess. The installer came out and didn't have the right tool to remove the windshield wiper. He then argued with me about wither or not I had ever done business with Safelite before, even though I had the receipt from the previous work. So a week later he comes back out and installed the glass. The next day I find out the intermittent wipers no longer work. It was later in the evening so I left a message at Safelite. No one ever called me back. Three days later I go to the website and schedule a followup service to fix the wipers between 12 and 5. The tech just calls me and wants to come at 10:00. What part of 12:00 to 5:00 is 10:00? Then he argues with me that the service call was set for 8:00 to 12:00. Once again, I have proof in writing from Safelite that is it not. I'm letting slide the fact that the technician's english was so poor I had to ask him to repeat most everything he said. I'm loosing hope this situation will ever get resolved.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good I had my windshield replaced recently and the guy did a good job installing the front windshield but did not connect the sensor correctly back to the windshield and now it is hanging from the windshield.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure what repair was supposed to look like.... Safelite repair was very quick and convenient...... BUT the windshield damage and crack did not look any different after the repair .....(see photo)
