DAMAGED INSPECTION STICKER
I my service performed at my work location. Repairmen had left without notification and I did not have the opportunity to inspect the work prior to to them leaving. Apparently, during the installation process, they had difficulty removing the "New Car Inspection" sticker to transfer to the new windshield. It was damaged to the point of being legible and they decided to use a Sharpie marker to recreate the numbers on the sticker, which now looks like a fraudulent/altered inspection sticker...... Yesterday, I was stopped by a police officer and questioned as if I had placed a "bogus" inspection sticker on my vehicle. After explaining the situation and showing my receipt for the windshield replacement, he allowed me to go with a warning... (However, he did explain I could have be fined and it is mandatory I have it replaced).
