Rated 1 out of 5 by from incompetence at its finest So I make an appointment, I receive 2 confirmation emails, not 1 but 2. The appt is 3-5, so at 415 when no one has called or shown up yet I decide to call. So a girl says to me I don't have an appt. When I show her that I do she says well that can't be we don't have the glass yet. So I took a 1/2 day off work to sit around and wait for you. Now all she has to say is I'm sorry and I'll reschedule you next week. Did you miss the comment about taking time off work! This is the real world sweat heart people actually need to work to pay bills. Now I will end up having to take a full day off because or your neglagence. The entire time I never raised my voice and when I questioned about recompansating my time she says I don't need to be spoken to like that I'm booking your appt and hanging up, which she did. So I'm out money and I got an attitude from some secretary at a winshield place, I guess I would be upset too if that was my job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding service! I recently had my windshield replaced and had an outstanding experience. The evening before my appointment, my car wound up in the shop. When I phoned to cancel, I was told that I could in fact keep my appointment as the technician would travel to the shop. When he arrive, he found that the wrong windshield had been ordered. Instead of rescheduling, he returned to the shop, got the correct windshield and performed the installation. I'm delighted!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible for Wiper Blades I had my windshield replaced in April, and the service was excellent. The technician called before he came to my house, he came on time, and he did a great job on the windshield. The problem is that I opted for Safelite to replace my wiper blades as well. Four months after the blades were replaced (even though I had used them only a few times), the driver's side wiper just fell off. It was POURING at the time and all of a sudden I couldn't see a foot in front of me. I was fortunate enough to be able to pull over to the side of the road without incident, but it isn't an overstatement to say that I was in a very dangerous situation. Long story short -- Safelite was very courteous when I called to report the issue and immediately (the very next morning) sent somebody to my home to repair the blade. It didn't cost me anything because the repair was considered a "warranty issue". However, just three weeks later THE OTHER BLADE FELL OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE RAIN. Fortunately, the rain wasn't heavy, I wasn't going far, and I could still see out of the driver's side of the windshield so I got home safely. Safelite is going to try again to resolve the problem, but at first I was asked to come to their shop fo the repair. Since I had no intention of taking time off work or of being further inconvenienced. I declined to do so. Only then did the rep. agree to send someone to my home, but the appointment was set up for four days later. I hope it doesn't rain again in the meantime.
