While I did not take advantage of an "on site" replacement, I was also happy to learn your facility was not far away. I'm sure there are other, rural-living folks that might not be as close to a major city location as I am; but we are used to a one hour drive to get our groceries in the same city as your facility. In other words, literally everything about this experience was good.
I must also add that the young man, Zach, who replaced my windshield, was obviously very good at this job because he not only explained that my windshield was not a factory item (I could have seen that, if I had any reason to check prior to needing a replacement), he also did the replacement in one hour ... half of the estimated time! :-)
And, while showing me the manufacturer's info, located in the lower section of the passenger side of the windshield, he explained how Safelite makes sure the seal around the windshield was good ... something that was not the case, when he showed the very-smooth appearance of the sealing surface on my removed windshield! Zach did this only upon my curiosity about what he felt caused the crack that compelled me to replace it.
He was not overly critical of the prior service technician ... just obviously knowledgeable about his trade. I was surprised to learn about the lack of a well-sealed windshield because mine had never "leaked;" but I was happy to learn of a better technique, which gave me confidence about his work.
Of course, the Safelite guarantee also gave me confidence; so I have to give a BIG THUMBS UP to Safelite, and Zach, for a JOB WELL DONE! Thank you for making this experience an easy, quick and, over all, a great experience! I am happy to state that your TV advertising works and I was happy to learn "it is NOT AT ALL misleading!! :-)
