It took us FIVE tries to FINALLY get our windshield put in and when it finally got put in, the new windshield leaks, which shorts out the radio when it rains PLUS we didn't get our antenna put back on so don't have one now. We understand that one person is having to run the whole show in North Platte so we are cutting her some slack BUT you asked and we couldn't lie.

I called my insurance to tell of a nasty rock chip on my pickup truck's windshield. I told them that I had good service with Safelite years before. Someone called me later and told me to take my truck to Safelite by 9:30 AM the next day and leave it all day and they would work it into their schedule. The next morning around 8:40 AM, a woman from the local Safelite store called and called and asked if I was on my way to their shop. I told her that I was supposed to bring it over at 9:30 AM and leave it. She told me that I had an appointment for 8 AM. So I headed right over to their shop. My wife followed me in her car. We arrived slightly before 9 AM. The woman at the counter told me that they could have it done in a half hour or so, so I told my wife that I would just wait for them to finish the job, and she left. The woman drove my truck into the shop and began to work on it. She was done by 9:20AM. She even installed new wipers during that time. The rock chip is still visible, but she assured me that it would be OK. The local Safelite shop did a quick job on my windshield repair, I just wish that the people who set this up did a better job of communicating with our local shop. A case of "the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing." Perhaps they should leave the actual scheduling to the local shop.
