Twice in one year
I've had the unfortunate event of a cracked windshield twice in recent times. The first time the windshield needed to be replaced. The second time I was certain the same thing would happen, but the specialist said it could be repaired and if not to my satisfaction, they would replace it. About a half hour later I was on the road and totally amazed with what they are now able to do "now days".... Thank you.

Chip repair
I selected an 8am appointment but received a call the morning of telling me they would not be able to make it until noon. Technician did arrive at noon and repaired the chip. I'm not really happy with the repair, spider cracks are still noticeable and the repair left a dark half moon area on my window like a burn mark.

The repair process is only an attempt to save the integrity of the glass, at times the repair may still be visible depending on the size (width and depth) of the chip. If at any time the repair spreads and or you are unhappy with the repair; that amount will be credited toward the full replacement of your windshield. Overall, I am satisfied except I noticed that my wiper fluid stream is very weak now. My reservoir has fluid but the stream to the windshield is very weak. Don't know if this is a result of my windshield installation though. Would be interested to know if this could be remedied by Safelite.

Very happy
Safelite was able to send someone out to my home the very next day. My technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the process and the risks. He also did a thorough job because when he checked the glass after the first treatment, there were still weaknesses, so he did a second application. I was very pleased with the quality of service I received.
