Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible I had an appointment for a winshield replacement on 06/06/17. Where the technitian broke off my moldings in order to replace my windshield. It also took her 4 attempts to run my card for my deductible. She said my info kept getting erased amd couldn't run my card - and I gave her two different cards to run. So after she leaves I get a call from a person from safelite saying they couldn't run my card. At this point I was frustrated I gave them my card one more time and they finally were able to run my card. I was getting receipts for the work order everytime it was attempting to run my card. I had to ask if only one was charged because I got worried. The safelite rep reassured me regardless of that many work orders I am only charged once. It was just a little concerning to have that much difficulty running a card. After this experience on 06/08/17 I had to call safelite to ask about my moldings, i talked to a rep that acted unprofessional regarding my problem. He said I had to call my insurance to find out if it will cover my moldings and all they could do is find out and estimate and give me a free installation based on my previous experience. He said he would call me back with an estimate. I called my insurance and they said they would cover it but safelite needed to call in to get an authorization so my insurance could pay. In fact my glass claim rep from my suramce company called and spoke to someone at safelite and told them what they had to do, because i wanted to avoid being tossed around. Someone else called me back with an estimate for $164 for both moldings and all the clips for my windhield. Md you my windshield only cost $190, this costs as expensive as my windshield and I am ouy of pocket for this problem that wasn't my fault. The rep asked me if i wanted to order them or not. I yold them what my insurance rep told me and that they needed to call the insurance to get approval. The rep brushed it off said he would call see what they say and call me back. No one called me back thay day. On 06/09 I called safelite back to see what the answer was and the rep that was on the line said he would call the shop to ask if the insurance talked to them or if they were able to get a hold of someone from the insurance to get an approval. The safelite rep said no one was answering and that this particular shop is always difficult to get ahold of. So all he saod was i can transfer you to our department that takes care of complaints or i could call the shop directly. I chose to be transfered, the department i was transfered was the warranty dept and the rep told me they handle warranty complaints not this type of complaints. All he basically said was he couldn't do anything. He only recommended me to pay for the parts and submit to my ins for reimbirsement. Which I think is unfair to have to come up with $164 and wait and see if I get reimbursed or what problems I'll run into which will at that point be my problem, because safele would have been paid for the parts, which THEY broke off. I have yet to resolve this and I am considering to pursue this issue with upper management and also have been in contact with my agent to figure out a solution. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH MY SERVICE FROM SAFELITE.
