Rated 1 out of 5 by from lady that does appointments doesn't listen to cust at first we did cash to get windshield crack repaired it got worst as repairman told us it might so then we got with lady to schedule windshield replacement with our Insurance at our house she sent tech. but still had us listed as cash!!!! so we canciled work. an called 800 number an set up with palm harbor store!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Follow-up help was excellent! Technician came to my home to replace vehicle passenger door glass. Unfortunately I was not able to be home and father-in-law provided access to the vehicle. First glass the technician brought was incorrect for vehicle, so he had to go back to shop to replace. Not an issue for me since I was not there and didn't need the vehicle, but the vehicle info was provided, not sure why it was incorrect...then again, I'm not in the glass business so it could be any number of reasons, no harm no foul. Glass was replaced, technician leaves. I get home and naturally the first thing I want to do is look at the repair. Hop in the driver's seat, fire up the engine, and hit the button. Glass goes down no problem. but when I lift the driver's side toggle to roll it all the way up (two-stage toggle), when it gets to the top it immediately goes back down. This happened over and over, the only way to get the window to NOT go back down, was to only engage the first toggle. Something not right, obviously. Engine still running, I go over and check the passenger toggle...that one works properly. Turn off the vehicle to go inside and call, but decide to try again...technician never checked the driver door toggles, apparently it had to reset for some reason. I don't think a general customer would know this, but the technician should. Biggest issues were that (a) the door panel of the glass replaced was not reattached, (b) didn't appear the technician attempted to vacuum the broken glass out of the door cavity, rattled horribly every time the door was closed, and (c) no attempt to vacuum the glass fragments from floor area (granted, there wasn't a lot because I had already cleaned most of it, but regardless, no attempt made). Instead of calling I went to the local shop on Saturday afternoon. Met with manager (Mike?), then with technician Jason. Explained situation and both were very helpful. Jason did a great job taking the panel off, vacuuming out the door cavity, replacing the panel properly, and vacuuming the floor. Great guys and excellent service! I know sometimes stuff falls through the cracks and stuff gets missed, but this was a compound issue and it appeared the original technician really didn't care about the job he performed. Kind of shocking since one has to imagine the customer is likely to complain about the poor quality o the overall service. Nonetheless, I would still recommend Safelite after the service I received at the repair center. I would likely reconsider the mobile service though if I couldn't be there to inspect before the technician departs.
