Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as expected I needed my wi dshield repaired and thought safe lite would be awesome as my time is limited and they could repair my windshield as I worked. I scheduled an online appointment for a Saturday between 12pm and 5pm. That was the only option and since I had to be at work at 11am the day of appointment I was fine with large time frame. 10am day of service: I get a text message saying the service guy, Michael would be at the appointment between 1015 and 1045 that morning. I live about 25 miles from where my appointment was to take place. So I quickly grab my stuff to leave for appt but had 2 errands to run before work. I could only get gas be ause I didn't want to wait another week for the windshield. As I'm driving I call the company dispatcher and explain I'm trying to get to my appointment even though they were hours early and she trued but couldn't contact the service guy while I was on the phone with her. After speeding to work there is no service guy but I did have a voicemail from the local shop in which Caitlyn expressed annoyance by my car not being easily located. Finally the repairman comes at noon but can't do the work because they ordered the wrong windshield. The windshield I need will be $40 more than quote and they can't do the work until the following Saturday. At this point I realize that the repair shop is literally a block away and so I ask that I bring the car to the shop to save $24. They say that's fine but really they should've told me about the shop proximity and the savings. And no apology for the inconvenience I was put through that morning. No regard that I forgot needed items for the day and that I was unable to go to the bank (errand missed). Week number 2: drop off car at the time of appointment but get to work 20 minutes late because Caitlyn doesn't acknowledge my presence for that long. She was handling a phone call and never looked up at me once until she finished her call. Twenty minutes after I get to work I receive a phone call from a tech who explains that they again ordered the wrong windshield and it would be another week. I asked that they just do the repair today with the wrong windshield (didnt have the same sun wrap at top if windshield). I ended up paying the original quote but would've expected a larger discount or friendlier service or both for the 2 weeks of time wasting and for the inconvenience of the first appointment but nothing. I won't use safelite again.
