Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Major Let Down I brought my vehicle in on Friday, 12/23/16, for a 10am appointment to have my windshield replaced. After I returned home, my husband noticed paint was missing on the driver's side window pane. We immediately called our insurance company which connected us to Safelite and an appointment was scheduled for someone to come out and look at the issue. The technician came and sent a picture to his supervisor. The supervisor then send him a photo back stating it was like that when I brought the vehicle in and the local shop has a time stamped photo to prove it. My question to you is this: If you take photos of issues with the vehicle prior to working on them, shouldn't you discuss that with the customer to ensure both parties are in agreement? The reason I ask is that there was a gentleman who came in behind me who had an appointment the same time as me. The technician replacing his windshield came out to the lobby, introduced himself and asked permission to move his vehicle into the garage. A few minutes later, he came in with a hand held device and showed the gentleman issues on his dash and wanted to make sure they were in agreement before he proceeded. He even had the customer sign that he agreed. After that, at approximately 10:15-10:20 another technician came through the shop door and stopped at the reception desk and picked up what I can only assume were my keys as the receptionist stated, "She's waiting" and I was the only female in the lobby. He walked right past me without introducing himself or speaking a word. He NEVER came and spoke to me about the photo he allegedly took of the missing paint to ensure we were in agreement before he proceeded. I did not see him for another hour when he returned and told me my vehicle was complete and ready. He ushered me to the driver's door from the rear of the car and was more interested in letting me know he cleaned all the windows and vacuumed. He did not do a very good job on either one. My whole point of this review is to let you know that if there are standards your organization claims to uphold, they should be across the board. The customer service the gentleman received was beyond excellent. The customer service I received was appalling. I maintain the issue was not present when I brought the vehicle to your location at the advice of my insurance company. I know you will never take ownership of the issue and am no longer expecting anything but what I have received from you. I am totally dissatisfied with the quality of customer service your organization provides and will NEVER recommend or utilize your services ever again.
