Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unacceptable service quality The glass on the hatchback was broken, so a Safelite rep came to my house to repair. It was done inside my garage. I left the car to sit for two days to cure and then when I went outside, I saw that there was broken glass all over the floor of my garage. There was a substantial amount of glass all over the place. I also looked inside the hatch and there was broken glass in the trunk. The installer also did not clean the inside of the hatch out, so it was full of broken glass. The hatch sounded like a maraca when you opened it with all of the glass rattling around. This is particularly annoying as I know that the installer had to pull the trim panels off of the hatch to install the glass as he lost some of the screws that hold the trim on. I also found out that the rear washer nozzle no longer worked on the car. The glass itself was poorly centered in the hatchback sheet metal as well. The mis-alignment wouldn't be bad enough to complain about, but this, in addition to all of the other mistakes just added to my frustration. I called up customer service to complain and they said that they would attempt to send an installer to my house to fix the problem. I explained that I was not comfortable with having their installers work on a new veheicle that was purchased just six months ago and is still under warranty given that the original work was so poor. I wanted to take it to a dealership to have the washer nozzle looked at and have Safelite cover any repair bills but they would not allow me to do this. I set up an appointment to have an installer come out later that day and it turns out that they were sending out the same individual who performed the work to start with.... At this point I cleaned up the glass myself and took apart the rear hatch to clean out as much of the glass as I could from inside the hatchback sheet metal. this took me about two hours to get as close as I could. I also managed to fix the washer nozzle on my own. I still have no managed to get the last of the glass shards out of my hatch, and I still have missing hardware in my car from the install. I am pretty stunned by the poor level of service from what should have been a simple install. I don't want to allow Safelite to touch my vehicle to try to rectify any of the issues as I simply don't trust them anymore.

Only reason I gave it a 4 was they were supposed to change out wiper blades but didn't have them available to do so.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Professional Manager I had my windshield replaced last week on my 2004 Silverado. Service was great, the work was obviously done very well while also maintaining cleanliness. The job only took one hour and I was back on the road. Only reason for the four star rating is the facility needs to be upgraded. Very small parking lot and the work area appeared small as well. As busy as the location is I recommend an improvement to the location.
