We went through our insurance to get a windshield replaced. We dropped off the car this morning at 9:00a which was within the drop off window. We were told they would get back to us when the car was ready. The shop closes at 5pm, no one called. We tried getting a hold of the shop, Safelite does not list phone numbers and there's no way to get a hold of the shop directly. If we ever have to get a windshield replaced, we definitely won't go through Safelite. It's embarassing to do business like this.

No one shows up to work

I had a 1:00 appointment to repair a chip in my windshield. This is the shop on Linebaugh in Tampa. The appointment asked that I show up 10 minutes early. I arrived 15 minutes early and checked in. The window to the shop showed no one was working at that time. Lunch time I assumed. Another customer showed up with a 1:00 appointment. About 1:10 several technicians showed up in the back shop but just stood around joking a talking. This went on until 1:25 with no one in the front office asking them to go to work or even telling us they would be with us soon. There were two men in the office working this entire time. No one seemed to care that the techs were not getting back to work after lunch. I finally went to the desk and said I will take my keys back since no one seems to be working here. He apologized and said he didn't know what the guys were doing. Someone should have at least yelled out back it's time to get to work. Obviously no one cared enough. I called customer service and let them know the problem. Obviously Safelite lost a long time customer as well as the future bad rep they will have from anyone that asks me about their service.
