I had a small spider crack (less than an inch) in my windshield and was under the impression it could be filled with minimal visibility after. While making the structure sound, the work left a nasty mark, more visible than the crack itself. I was told by the initial tech that the "second resin just isn't designed to be transparent yet". Then the warranty specialist told me that the tech had likely chipped out a broken piece of my top windshield pane to do the work, which likely resulted in the larger resin fill. The initial tech did not tell my this was the case, and I still do not know if it was (I would like to). If possible, I would like an expert to follow up with me and compare before and after pictures you have on file to verify whether this is the typical quality of work you do, as I am under the impression that it was just a sloppy job.
