After contacting my insurance, while still traveling, I received a call from Safelite in the city I was leaving the car. Within 2 days the windshield was replaced. Fantastic customer service!!!

I dropped my truck off for a rear window replacement about 20 minutes before my appointment time. Online said 1-2 hour estimate. Drove by an hour later and it wasn't even in the shop yet. I received a call 2 1/2 hours after my appointment time starting that they would not be able to complete the replacement because they were not able to remove my back seat. The technician claimed that the bolts were rusted into the floor and he was unable to remove them. I took the truck home and removed the seat myself in 20 minutes using hand tools, didn't even have to break out the impact. Oh yeah, and those rusted bolts, they still look brand new. This technician needs to find an office job because he has no business with a wrench in his hand. I will be taking it to a different shop that a real live person answers the phone. Slightly higher cost but I'm willing to pay for competence.

Overall, our experience with Safelite was very positive. The price was reasonable, and the technician was friendly and very professional. We appreciated being able to have the work done in our garage instead of needing to take it to the shop. Our only criticism is that the quoted cost of replacing the windshield did not include the cost of recycling the glass, which we thought was a bit misleading given we didn't have any other options.
