Our technician arrived on time and was well prepared for the windshield swap out. This is the second time we have used Safelite and can say for sure that the quality of the work is consistently good with fine attention to detail. They care that the repair is done right the first time. I would say that the repair to the windshield idea is probably a waste of time and that the insurance companies ought to realize that certain cracks in windshields are just not conducive to that sort of repair. In our case the crack got bigger during the repair process. That created a delay in actually getting the windshield fully replaced. That one idea of taking a picture of the crack and sending it to the insurance company could probably save the insurers a bit of money and improve service to their insured. Just a suggestion.

Our technician, Jesus, was arguably the best service experience ever. He texted ahead of time giving an ETA and once he arrived, he was professional, courteous, patient and explained the entire process. He notied certain possible challenges he might face because the previous install of the windshield wasn't done properly which allowed the glass to not be centered in the frame and it was sitting on the bottom of the frame agaist metal. The previous installer also used way too much adhesive causing the removal to take longer. Once Jesus was done, he explained how to remove spacers and tape with the recommended setup time. This young man did a fantastic job!
