Review by Bruce C. on 6 Jul 2026review stating Great job
So far everything has been great. It was done last Thursday. When we get rain that will be the test. The installer was very nice and answered our questions happily.
Totally disappointed and was tried to take advantage of.

I scheduled my windshield replacement through my insurance company and was verified a date. The day before the scheduled appointment at my home, Safelite called and canceled due to technician sick. Understandably, I rescheduled for the next day. The next day in the morning they canceled again. Supposedly technician could not calibrate vehicle windshield safeties at the home site. Found out that this was incorrect also. So I had to drive my vehicle up to their shop the next day and drop it off at 11:00 a. m. for a 1:00 appointment. I could not stay there because I had to leave that day at 1:00 p. m. on a flight. The insurance company had said that the windshield would come with free windshield wipers included with my deductible cost. I communicated back to the insurance company that I had just replaced the windshield wipers and it was unnecessary. The insurance company verified that the windshield wipers would be given to me, would be set in the back seat. My deductible was $250, to cover my windshield cost was to be given to the technician upon completion. When I arrived at the Safelite shop, I was told that the cost of the windshield was $327. They had added the cost of the windshield wipers to the total. I then told them what the insurance company said and they absolutely refused that the insurance company could say that. They also explained to me that the vehicle needed to have three quarters of a tank of gas so to make sure that the technician could test drive the vehicle. I had to have a relative of mine drive up to the shop to retrieve the vehicle because after this horrible incident they couldn't deliver my vehicle due to supposed liability. Of course they can drive my vehicle in traffic to test my safeties but yet not deliver it after scheduling and canceling twice as well as make me drive to their shop 10 miles away. Unless you are absolutely desperate I would definitely not recommend having Safelite Auto Glass of the Myrtle Beach area do any of that replacement. The company has been anything but decent. I have not exaggerated or distorted any of the facts of this event. I am a very reputable family businessman and all information can be verified openly. I am open to any safelite management conversation to Enlighten them of this dissatisfaction.
