I brought my new car into the shop to have a repair done from a rock that hit the windshield. When the repair was done I noticed that there were new scratches on my windshield that were not previously there. I called the shop to let them know and ask them what to do and they had me come back in. When I came in the next morning the manager, Carrie came out to look at the scratches and seemed to be confused how they got there, as we both were. She mentioned that it is odd because during the repair there really isn’t anything used that she knows of that would scratch the windshield although they did use paper towels and glass cleaner to clean the entire windshield. Since she wasn’t sure how this could have happened she took pictures and let me know that she was going to send them to her quality manager. She also mentioned that maybe it was “just a coincidence” that the scratches got there. I then told her I’m not sure how that just happens but I will wait to hear back from the quality manager. After she allegedly heard back from the quality manager who happened to say the same exact thing of it being “just a coincidence” I questioned her further and asked for the quality managers number which she would not give me. She then proceeded to tell me maybe the scratches came from an ice scraper??? It is the middle of summer and I just bought this car so that is 100% not the case. Then she tried to tell me maybe it was from a car wash. I also have not been through a car wash since owning the vehicle so that also could not be true. She started to become very hostile and the tone of her voice changed as if she was angry. She was not nice over the phone and the way she spoke to me is not the way I would treat a customer or anybody for that matter. I then had no choice but to escalate the situation to corporate so I called the quality corporate number and am in the works with them as of currently.
